NUCLEAR TECHNOLOGIES AND NON-PROLIFERATION POLICIES
(ISSUE 20)
This issue continues a series of quarterly digests containing information about various issues
pertaining to nuclear technologies and nuclear non-proliferation that have to do with Russia or bear
a relation to it.
The materials included in this digest are a rendering of various publications on the problems under
consideration that appeared from October to December of 2005. They have been picked out by the
editors of this digest and represent their view on what might be interesting for the Russian experts
and public.
The quarterly digest is supplemented with the annexes where some issues are described in more
detail.
The worldwide Internet computer network as well as publications from the Western and Russian press
are the main sources of information for the digest.
The work has been done under the contract between the Analytical Center for Non-proliferation and
the U.S. Department of Energy under the auspices of the Nuclear Cities Initiative. The contract
provides financial support for this project, but its subject-matter is fully determined by the
Russian specialists.
Edited by Igor Andryushin, Sergey Safronov and Yuri Yudin.
